The Book of Ruth is named for the Moabite woman who commits herself to the Israelite people by an oath to her mother-in-law Naomi and becomes the great-grandmother of David by marriage to Boaz of Bethlehem. Thus she is an ancestor in the messianic line that leads to Jesus (Mt 1:5). The book portrays the love and loyalty of human beings in working their way through tragic circumstances to participation in the community of the faithful people of God. –Bible Gateway

Even though Naomi was Ruth’s mother-in-law and not blood related, Ruth remained loyal to her mother-in-law after the death of Ruth’s husband Mahlon, one of Naomi’s two sons. She also stayed faithful to God and followed Naomi all the way back to her mother-in-law’s homeland, Bethlehem (Ruth 1:22).

11 And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.

Ruth’s loyalty to her mother-in-law and her hard work are commended by Boaz and is blessed and rewarded by God.

11 And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
In Verse 8, Laying at another’s feet shows a gesture of humility, we go to Luke 7 to see another example of this gesture.

In Ruth 3:8 – “And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.”

spread therefore: Hebrew "spread thy wing;" the emblem of protection; and a metaphor taken from the young of fowls, which run under the wings of their mother from birds of prey. Even to the present day, when a Jew marries a woman, he throws the skirts of his talith over her, to signify that he has taken her under his protection. Eze. 16:8
We can draw parallel from Ruth 3:9 to Mark chapter 5, where a woman who has a blood-related illness has strong faith that she will be healed just by touching Jesus Christ’s garment.

26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

You’ve seen that there are similarities with Ruth 3:9 with Mark 5:25-34, in regards to redemption.
In regards to marriage according to the Mosaic Law, if a man died without having a child from his wife then the widowed wife will marry her husband’s brother.
Deuteronomy 25:5 King James Version
“If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband's brother unto her.”
Naomi’s sons Mahlon (Ruth’s husband) and Chilion (Orpah’s husband) both died, so the next candidate for Ruth to marry will be the kinsmen of Elimelech (Naomi’s deceased husband), and the Bible revealed in Ruth chapter 2 that Boaz is Elimelech’s next kinsmen and confirmed in Ruth 3:12.
And in Ruth 3, verses 10-11, this draws parallel in Luke 7 passage earlier where a woman is praised because for her virtue. Lastly in Ruth 4, Boaz marries Ruth and they bare a son named Obed which is the father of Jesse and the grand-father of King David.

Although social norms and Hollywood portrayals often depict men as the sex more likely to cheat, studies show that the infidelity gender gap is narrowing—especially among younger people. Take, for instance, a research study out of The Kinsey Institute at Indiana University, which found that among participants with an average age of 31, "there were no significant gender differences in the report of infidelity (23 percent of men vs. 19 percent of women)." Then there's the National Opinion Research Center’s General Social Survey (GSS) from 2018, which found that women between the ages of 18 and 29 were slightly more likely to cheat than men of the same age group (11 percent vs. 10 percent). Further data out of the GSS showed that the percentage of women who cheat rose nearly 40 percent from 1990 to 2010 while men's adultery rate held steady at 21 percent.
For us this is no surprise, the Bible foretold of the rise of apostacy as we approach the last days.

According to the National Center for Health Statistics, women file for divorce two-thirds of the time. A more amazing statistic is that when the couple is college educated, divorce initiated by the wife is a whopping 90 percent! What's more interesting is that for the past 100 years the primary filer has been the woman. The divorce rate began climbing at a drastic rate in the 70s. This statistic correlates with the fact that beginning in 1969, states began adopting "no fault" divorce laws and by 1985, all states had such a law in place.
The "no-fault" divorce allowed a couple to divorce due to irreconcilable differences. Prior to these laws, adultery or extreme cruelty required proof to receive approval for a divorce.
Due to many women's beliefs, they still struggle with who they are and what roles in society they ought to fill. It's an inner struggle that often leads a woman to put impossible demands on herself. She wants it all and somewhere inside of her feels that she has to do it all.

Although most Filipinos still value marriage, the proportion who separate from their spouse, both legally and informally, is increasing. Figure 1 shows that the numbers of annulment and nullity cases filed at the Office of the Solicitor-General (OSG) has increased from 4,520 in 2001 to 11,135 in 2014. Census and survey data also show a similar trend.
