What God Wants

Psalm 50:14-15 King James Version

14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

What God wants most from us other than being saved is to give thanks to Him, to keep our vows and promises, to completely trust in Him and to praise and glorify Him.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 King James Version

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

As the verse said in everything give thanks, sometimes we take things for granted and we forget to thank God for all the grace, mercy and blessings that He bestowed upon our lives. The food that we eat, the water that we drink, the roof over our heads, we should thank God for all of His provisions.

Philippians 4:19 King James Version

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

God already knows what we need and by His grace He will provide

Matthew 6:31-32 King James Version

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

And most important of all we should thank God for that free gift of Salvation through His Son Lord Jesus Christ. If you’re having a bad day know that if you’re a saved believer all bad things in life are just temporary and that we are eternally secured in Heaven.

We should never ceased giving thanks to God as this will also give us wisdom and knowledge

Ephesians 1:16-17 King James Version

16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Concerning keeping vows and promises unto the Lord

Ecclesiastes 5:4 King James Version

"When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed."

Matthew 5:33 King James Version

Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

If we want to live which is right to God, then whatever oaths, vows and promises we have to the Lord we should keep (like in Marriage), as God Himself does not break His own promises.

Psalms 89:34 King James Version

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

2 Peter 3:9 King James Version

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

We continue with the main passage in Psalms 50:15

“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”

God wants us to trust in Him and call on His name when we are in need

Romans 10:13 King James Version

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Psalm 18:3 King James Version

3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

There is no greater Saviour than Lord Jesus Christ, if we call on His name and ask to be delivered from all our troubles then He will, because we are granted petitions for we are saved and part of the body of Christ

1 John 5:14-15 King James Version

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

God deserves all the thanks, worship and praise for He created everything including you and me.
